As you may have noticed, blogging is still very new to me. Honestly, I don't expect much to ever come of it. I don't want to be famous, I'm not trying to make money, and I still live 99% of my life outside of the internet.
This is simply my space to talk about books, why I love them, and the impact they've had on me. Maybe, just maybe, what I have to say will resonate with someone, and encourage them to fall in love with reading like I did. Then they can share that with someone else, and that person shares with someone else, and the cycle goes on and on until we have a whole community of readers—and that, I believe, could truly change the world.
So, in the spirit of community, I wanted to put together a Discord server where we can chat about the books we're reading, share our goals and progress, and support each other through this crazy journey called life.
As someone who isn't on social media, I know creating an online community may seem a bit hypocritical. I went back and forth on the idea for a while, and frankly I'm still not sure. The internet is vast and scary, and one of these days I'll share my thoughts on social media and why I think it's so damaging, but today is not that day.
However, I think that if you've found my blog, it wasn't an accident. If you're here, you obviously enjoy books, or are at least interested enough to be reading about them. I'd love to chat with you about my favorite books, and learn about your favorite books and why you love them.
